Unity and Multiplicity.
The Meaning of Ḥonar
Borrowed from Classical Persian هُنَر (hunar) — "art, craft, ability," from Middle Persian 𐫍𐫇𐫗𐫡 (hwnr /hunar/) — "virtue, skill," and ultimately from Old Persian 𐎢𐎺𐎴𐎼 (ʰuvnara) — "talent, capability."
In Persian thought, ḥonar is more than art — it is virtue made visible, where unity gives birth to multiplicity, one essence expressed through infinite forms.
From Essence to Space
The truest embodiment of Vahdat dar Kesrat — unity and multiplicity — appears in Naqsh-e Jahan Square, a living fractal where unity reveals its form. Born in Isfahan, it brought the sacred and the everyday into perfect balance. With HONAR, we're re-creating Naqsh-e Jahan's balance for a new, connected generation — a virtual square where art, culture, and people meet again.
